Colic can start when a baby is a few weeks old and usually stops by the time they're 6 months old. The Babocush Comfort Cushion was designed by a mother who wanted to relieve this pain for her baby.

The Babocush Comfort Cushion holds your baby just like you do. Featuring soothing vibrations and a gentle heartbeat sound to simulate the sound of your voice and beat of your heart which means less crying and a calm, settled baby. Use the internal control box to play either the heartbeat sound or gentle vibrations or both. The cushion soothes and comforts by encouraging stress-free tummy time to relieve gas, colic, and reflux discomfort. The perfect baby solution for any new-born who doesn’t like to be set down.

What age/size does my baby have to be for the Comfort Cushion?

Babies aged from tiny premature up to around 6 months old or 21 pounds / 9.5 kilos can use the cushion, although after 3 months, your baby will look rather large on the it. The sooner your baby uses the cushion the more they’ll love it.

Will my baby settle easily on the cushion?

All babies are different, but we have found that the earlier your baby is introduced to the comfort cushion, the better, which is why we recommend it for new-borns who have been used to the sounds and comforts of the womb. With its unique position, your baby should settle easily. For best results, turn on the vibration and heartbeat before placing your baby on the cushion.

How do I clean the cushion?

You may find it useful to place a muslin cloth or bib under your baby’s head area in order to catch any spills and to save having to wash the outer cover as often.

Unzip the outer cover, remove the mattress protector, and machine wash both at 30 degrees. Do not tumble dry. The mattress and control box may be wiped clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent if necessary.

Can my baby sleep on the cushion?

Do not let your baby sleep on the cushion unsupervised. Sleeping on their front can pose a suffocation risk and is thought to increase the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), according to the NHS Guidelines on SIDS. The cushion is intended to provide relief from colic and reflux, to help settle fractious babies and to provide tummy time to prevent flat-head syndrome and other associated problems. Never ever leave your baby unattended on the cushion. You will find your baby will be so content that they may fall asleep. Transfer your baby to their cot or crib to sleep if unsupervised.

How does the cushion attach to the Babocush Bouncer?

The Cushion has 2 adjustable straps that can be fed through the fastening hooks on the sides of bouncer to secure the cushion safely. Adjust the tightness so it feels secure.
